Events

The Wedding of the Tree (May 8th): the village’s signature festival. A sixteenth-century ceremony where two beech trees from Mount Fogliano are “married” to reaffirm the town’s ownership of the woods. It includes historical parades, knights, and floral tributes.

Flowers at the Window and Dinners in the Square (June): the historic center is transformed into a sprawling garden. The last two weekends are dedicated to communal outdoor dinners, tastings in ancient cellars, and floral installations among the alleys and “profferli” (external medieval stairs).

Creative Passion: an exhibition dedicated to artisanal excellence and manual arts, usually hosted within the setting of the Villa Comunale.

Porcini Mushroom Festival (September/October): a gastronomic event centered on the forest floor products of the Cimini Mountains, featuring themed menus and traditional markets.

The Kingdom of Santa Claus (September – January): a massive theme village (a nationally renowned attraction) featuring Christmas markets, entertainment, and Santa’s house.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil Festival (December): during the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Vetralla celebrates its prized DOP oil with olive mill tours, bruschetta in the square, and guided tasting sessions.
